Half Termly Overview:

The Infants is made up of children in Reception and Key Stage 1
(Years 1 and 2).

Our Class Teacher is Mr Gartland and Sarah is the Senior Teaching Assistant who works in class.

Phonics:

In school we follow the Floppy's Phonics SSP. The reading books that we use are aligned to the phonics programme and are all Oxford Reading Tree books. Over the past 2 years we have invested heavily in our early reading books. All of our books are fully decodable and children are given the opportunity to read a range of both fiction and non-fiction texts. 

Maths Overview:

Handwriting:

Letter formation and handwriting is something that we are working hard on this year and thanks to our PTA we have invested in an updated handwriting scheme from Nelson. This starts with Reception and supports children as they move through the school.
