Our school has achieved the Gold School Games Mark award for our commitment, engagement and delivery of competitive school sport in 2015/16, 2016/17 2017/18 and 2018/19. (The award has been suspended due to Covid since 2020)
What is the School Games Mark?
The School Games Mark is a Government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community.

We have over the last four years been small schools regional winners in Football, Netball, Hockey and Cross Country.
We have been area champions in Tennis where we have gone on to represent Copeland in the County Finals.
All children from reception to Year 6 spend one afternoon a week for one term a year taking swimming lessons. By the end of Key Stage One most children can usually swim at least 10 metres.
In 2020/21 we had 9 children in Year 6 and 100% reached the required standard in swimming.
